    Jurnal Paradoks Hukum is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by STIH Manokwari. This statement outlines the ethical standards expected of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors-in-chief, editorial board members, reviewers, and the publisher. These guidelines are based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

    Publishing scientific articles in this journal is a vital component of developing a credible and respected body of knowledge. Peer-reviewed publications reflect the scientific method and demonstrate the academic integrity of the institutions that support the authors.
  2. Publisher’s Responsibilities
    STIH Manokwari is committed to maintaining the integrity of the publication process and ensures that advertising, reprints, or other commercial interests do not influence editorial decisions. STIH Manokwari is also open to collaborating with other journals or publishers when necessary to uphold publication ethics and quality.

    Research misconduct includes data fabrication, citation manipulation, and plagiarism in the writing, conducting, or reviewing of articles. If such misconduct is verified, the editor is responsible for protecting the integrity of the scholarly record.
  2. Handling Allegations
  • The editor will investigate allegations following COPE procedures.
  • Articles found to involve misconduct will be rejected or retracted.
  • Authors will be given a chance to respond to the allegations.
  • External experts (e.g., statistical reviewers) may be involved.
  • The author’s institution is expected to conduct a comprehensive investigation.

    Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are published, based on their scholarly merit and relevance to the journal’s readership. Legal considerations (e.g., libel, copyright, plagiarism) are also taken into account, and editors may consult other editors or reviewers before reaching a decision.

    Jurnal Paradoks Hukum has a clear procedure for handling complaints regarding the journal, editorial staff, or publisher, including concerns about citation manipulation or reviewer/editor bias.     Information obtained during the review process must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.

    Authors must report any errors or misconduct discovered after publication and cooperate in any correction or retraction process.
  8. Research Ethics
    Research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data must adhere to ethical standards and include appropriate ethical clearance.
  9. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
    The journal provides a platform for readers to submit comments or corrections regarding published articles. If accepted, these will be published as a Letter to the Editor, and authors may submit a Reply to the Letter to the Editor in response.
